Fertilization
Feed the grass. Crowd out the weeds.
A well-fed lawn is thicker, greener, and naturally shrugs off weeds. We match the fertilizer and timing to your grass type and the Texas season, so every application pulls its weight.

Why fertilization matters.
You can't out-mow a hungry lawn. Grass that's fed on schedule grows dense enough to shade out most weed seeds before they germinate — meaning less weed spray, less bare dirt, and more of what you actually want.
We build a simple 3–4 application program tailored to your grass type: spring green-up feed, summer sustainer, fall recovery, and (for cool-season lawns) a light winter feed.
Everything is applied with a calibrated spreader — no burnt streaks, no missed strips, no wasted product.
Every fertilization visit.
- Grass-type specific fertilizer (Bermuda, St. Augustine, Zoysia)
- Seasonal timing — spring green-up, summer feed, fall recovery
- Even, calibrated application (no burnt streaks or misses)
- Post-application watering guidance
- Notes on any lawn issues we spot (fungus, insects, thin spots)
How the job runs.
- 1ID the grass & soil
Bermuda, St. Augustine, Zoysia? Sandy or clay? Sun or shade? All of that changes what and when to feed.
- 2Build the schedule
3–4 applications a year, timed to your grass. Usually spring, early summer, and fall.
- 3Apply cleanly
Calibrated broadcast spreader, edges done by hand, no product on hardscape or in beds.
- 4Follow up
Let you know what was applied and when to water it in.
When to do it.
In North Texas, warm-season grasses (Bermuda, St. Augustine, Zoysia) start waking up in mid-March. First feed goes down at that green-up window. Pre-emergent for crabgrass has to be down by late February to work.
Before you book.
- Watering matters — most granular products want 1/4 inch of water within 24 hours
- Best results come from pairing fertilization with regular mowing

Questions we hear a lot.
How many applications per year?
Most Fort Worth lawns want 3–4: early spring (pre-emergent + light feed), late spring green-up, mid-summer sustainer, and fall recovery. We can also do just a spring/fall program if you want lighter maintenance.
What about weed control?
Pre-emergent applied in late winter and early fall prevents most annual weeds before they sprout. Ask us what makes sense for your lawn.
Is it safe for pets and kids?
Granular fertilizers just need to be watered in — usually pets and kids are back on the lawn in 24 hours. If we apply anything with a longer re-entry window, we'll tell you.
When will I see results?
Green-up in 7–14 days after the first application. Real density takes a full growing season of consistent feeding.
The rest of the yard.
